=== Greeting from Doshu ===

  I am pleased that a great number of people made time in their busy schedules to attend the Aiki Shrine Festival and the memorial services for the founder Morihei Ueshiba and Kisshomaru 2nd doshu. The founder Morihei Ueshiba passed away on April 26, 1969 and Kisshomaru-Doshu passed away on January 4, 1999. Aikido, founded by Kaiso, has spread to 95 countries because Kisshomaru Doshu and other Sensei devoted all of their energy to the dissemination of Aikido.  We must cherish the daily practice of Aikido and devote ourselves to making a social contribution, taking advantage of the Aikido spirit through keiko. I prayed for this at the ceremony. Thank you very much for coming today.

==Greetings from the organizer (Ueshiba Moriteru Doshu)==

 I am very pleased that the 51st All Japan Aikido Demonstration will be held with such a lot of people, in this way, here in the Nippon Bodokan.
 This is the largest yearly event in which Aikikai registered dojos, enterprises and university groups nationwide present the results of their daily practice. Each time we hold this event it is enriched by an increased number of participants. This is an incomparable joy for me, to see more than 10,000 people gathering in this hall.
 Last year, this event marked the 50th anniversary. This year, I want to return to the starting line, valuing the spirit of Aikido as founded by Morihei Ueshiba, and planning to enrich Aikido with all of you.
 I expect that everyone will show their demonstrations today with a feeling of a once-in-a lifetime chance.
 In conclusion, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and to other relevant groups for their support.
